• Surrender – when a player surrenders his game by forfeiting half his bet and ending the hand immediately.
Types of Blackjack
European Blackjack
European Blackjack is played with a 52 deck and the aim is the same as a normal blackjack game. The player should beat the dealer by getting a higher hand but not exceeding a total of 21. Here a player is allowed to bet only on one hand. The value of cards remains the same. All face cards, ie. Jacks, Queens, Kings have a value of 10. Ace is either 1 or 11 depending on the player’s total.
Atlantic City Multi-hand Blackjack
This is an American Hole card game. The aim and rules of the game are similar to a blackjack game. The player must try to beat the dealer’s hand. The specialty of this game is that the player is allowed to play up to 5 separate hands at a time, wagering on each hand. The general odds of payout on a perfect blackjack are 3:2 where in the player cannot be beat by the dealer but only matched. If there is a tie it is called a Push, when your original bets that were placed will be returned to you. In a multi-hand blackjack game a player is allowed to wager more on each hand which gives him a higher chance of winning at any of his hands.
